It was a very slow read and none of the characters were really jumping off the page at me. Also I particularly don't care for only dark side books, so do with that statement what you will.

A book where the good guys didn’t win. I loved the twist but it felt really long and drawn out and near the end I found myself skimming over some words just to finish. A middle ground Star Wars book at best. I did love looking into Vader and palpatines minds and relationship though!

i loved the first half of this book, but the second half dragged for me a decent bit and didn’t really feel high stakes enough to be an impactful story. hera syndullas dad is one of the main characters in this story but you only learn that through the last name and a brief mention of hera. i understand that he’s pushing for a rebellion like his daughter so that connection makes sense, but he could’ve been a completely different character and it would’ve been fine and wouldn’t have raised my hopes for the impact on the larger story and connection to rebels.

Darth Vader and the Emperor are the targets of an assassination attempt by Twi'lek rebels. Lords of the Sith hits the ground running and never lets up. Lots of action, pretty solid characters. One particular highlight is Darth Vader, who seems like he could kick a lot of ass but never really does kick a lot of ass in the movies, kicks a lot of ass here.

Great novel and insight into Vader's mind. Also meeting Hera's father Cham was awesome as well.

A well written novel and a good read. There were some parts that were boring or dragged on, and some parts I didn't quite care about. Such as Vader and the Emperor fighting the animals and their queen. All I wanted to know was the rebels chasing them and them on the run. It seemed to take away from the intense pursuit, in my opinion.

Good book though!

It was ok. Readable, but not great. Not real surprises. Didn't feel like Star wars, but rather just genetic sci-fi/action. Wouldn't recommend

A couple of neat ideas layered in a husky stack of narrative nothing. FanFiction-y.
