I'll always be grateful these "Kitchen Table" novels gave us Murakami, but I didn't find much of it all that engaging. I probably just don't understand the allure and titillation of pinball machines.

'Ouça a canção do vento' e 'Pinball 1973' são as primeiras novelas escritas por Murakami, descritas por ele mesmo como "romances na mesa da cozinha".

As duas histórias já possuem várias características marcantes na escrita do autor. Desde angústias pessoais, solidão e melancolia - elementos sempre presentes em suas tramas - além de sua escrita sublime e cheia de referências a músicas, livros e personalidades.

Gostei das novelas e achei bem interessante a pequena introdução que o autor faz no começo do livro, contando como ele decidiu virar um escritor e como foi o processo para ele escrever esses dois pequenos romances.
