I enjoyed it at the start but was a bit taken aback as the plot progressed as I thought it was going to be a murder mystery. It felt that it went a bit off the rails. Very random and gothic. The mystery was quite over explained and made such little sense at times that it confused you into thinking it almost made sense. Very creepy and uncomfortable at times.

i thought this was a lot tighter than luminous dead and i honestly liked it more than i expected to. starling is (imo) great at descents into madness. and deranged romances lmao. i do think this is a bit slow to rly get going and the latter half of it is more entertaining than the former. + the romance is a bit rushed, initially. but i enjoyed the second half so much idm lmao
