Another fine page turner! Stayed up late to finish it as I could not put this book down! And the twists! Amazing! I was completely taken by surprise with the ending! Great book!!!

I really liked it. Not too twisted like Gone Girl or Girl on the Train but was not expecting that ending either.

Strangly enough I liked the Netflix version of this book better. There was more depth and complexity that tied things together better. Still a good story though

In typical Coban fashion, this one twisted and turned in so many directions that I had to go back and reread sections thinking I had missed something, but I hadn't. So many times I was sure I knew what was going on and I was wrong every time but once and it was a minor reveal.

I loved Maya. Her internal dialog was great. I loved reading her puzzling through what was going on. Maya was so intense and Coban peeled back her layers slowly making for a compelling read. I read this in one sitting because I couldn't put it down.

I thought I knew what the ‘plot twist’ of this book was going to be but I actually got it completely wrong. Coben is very skillful at leading us down a path to draw certain conclusions and then just blowing up that idea completely.
Maya is handling a lot of trauma and juggling so many balls. Kind of disappointed by the whole nanny cam outcome, I thought that was going to be a bigger deal.

Just ok. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first book of his that I read.

There was a definite plot twist which was interesting, but the writing wasn’t as enjoyable and I didn’t feel as engaged. May have been that Maya wasn’t a typical woman and was very analytical and dry?
