This was a fast read. Despite my review, I’d say this is a decent book for when you’re bored or want a mindless, fast-paced, dialog heavy book.

Some of the character motivations were superficial imo — for example, how could Isabella just simply follow orders to manipulate Maya? After all, I’d imagine having a soft spot for the mother or the kid I nanny. Also, I enjoyed reading about Maya learning about Tom Douglass, Theo Mora, etc. But I don’t know that it needed so much exploration — I could spot from a mile away that Joe was bad news.

The twist ending killed the book.

I listened to this book driving home and I think I would have enjoyed it more reading it instead. I started the TV show but haven’t made it very far, but I’m now excited to finish watching.
