Such a fun book, you get to learn so much about Magpies and other birds in a way that is interesting. The love for birds and animals is beautiful in this book. If you check out the authors Instagram you get to see George and her other gorgeous creatures.

Meh. You can do a rugged mountain man without weird toxic masculinity/aggressiveness. No real investment in characters, finished because I wanted to see how it all wrapped up. On top of this… no steamy scenes? Meh.

I liked the setting, Alaska, and the side topic of tourists v locals in a small town depending in tourism.
But OMG the main characters were so bad. Zoey so poor and shy and unlucky and living her dream, and Graham so annoying and aggressive and such a good friend...
This story was so full of clichees, just ok for spending sleepless hours in the middle of the night with but I'm glad it's over.

There are no stakes that I can see.

This was cute! Great banter! Graham gives off Luke from Gilmore Girls vibes but with a golden retriever personality. Zoey is shy but spunky, so she is a hoot. Their banter is great!

Ulysses was the best character, love him.

Feel like the ended was a but abrupt in the aspect of I wanted to knowm more on Lana's secret project and how it ended up after a bit. Her ending was abrupt as in we didnt talk to her again after
she was attacked because the locals didnt like her project idea.
I get that that helped Graham change his mentality on it a bit, but there was no resolution really afterwards. I did just realize there is a sequel for Lana!

No spice

Graham and Zoey’s story was just sweet, quirky and a lot of fun! A great book to read if you’re looking for some laugh out loud moments and an escape from reality. ☺️⁣

Lovable characters. Graham is this really grumpy yet charming character, who owns a diner in the small town of Moose Springs, Alaska. (He kind of reminds me of a younger Luke Danes from Gilmore Girls.
