"Does it have to be in that order?"

Initial Final Page Thoughts.
Well, I just wasted a good portion of my life.

High Points.
The era.

Low Points.
Everything. Mainly Duncan.

Heroine.
Not memorable. Falls under the typical stereotype. Boring.

Love Interest.

I didn't like you, Duncan. Sorry.

Angst Level.
3/10. The climax was so predictable and entirely anti-climactic. It seemed forced.

Recommended For.
People looking to waste their time.

I just love this series. The huxtables are such lovable creatures. They all seem so innocent and sheltered among the always scandalous ton. I'm so glad Meg found happiness... and not with that Crispin jerk!

What an exciting, drama-filled set up for the rest of the book!  Probably the best first-five-chapters set up of a book I have ever read -- in reading more than 200 historical romance novels.  The rest of the book watched love grow and drama get resolved, one piece at a time.  It was a calming and enjoyable read, with very likable characters.

This book was really good. I enjoyed the twists and turns of the story and I grew to really like both of the main characters in this one. Duncan is the best husband so far.
