Honestly, I was really underwhelmed by this. The story just fell flat and I had a hard time caring about the characters. I also was not a fan of the audiobook narrator, which definitely added to my disinterest in the story in general.

3.5 stars. I loved the idea of the book; the execution, though, not so much. I’m not a typical Stan Lee-reader, but the topic — righting wrongs and connecting the unconnected — really interested me. I wouldn’t say the book was a slog, but it wasn’t the experience I’d hoped for, either.

If you like science fiction or whatever Stan Lee has written, I guess the book will scratch an itch.

Concepts are ok, the writing is not polished, and written in a way that's easier to appreciate at 4th/5th grade age range.

Not the best narration.
A story with ok ideas. Lots of time spent on establishing characters within a fuzzy setting. Yet, the character build does not add enough to over all plot.

Nicht alles für die Klicks tun. Das ist die Story kurz zusammengefasst.

Mir ist eine Monotonie bei Stan Lee Geschichten aufgefallen. Der Held wird in eine unangenehme Situation hineingebracht, erhält seine Kräfte, muss den Gegner bekämpfen, verliert in der ersten Runde, holt sich Hilfe und gewinnt. Manchmal wird das Holen von Hilfe auch ausgelassen. Trotzdem ist der Schreibstil noch gut, da es eben von einem großen Meister wie Stan Lee stammt.
Nicht alles für die Klicks tun, sonst passieren böse Dinge. Dies ist die Story kurz zusammengefasst.

Mir gefiel sehr gut, dass Gesellschaftskritik dabei war. Dass es gegen das ständige Verbundensein der Menschheit ging, gefiel mir in Zeiten von Home office und ständigem online sein sehr gut. Denn sowohl der Protagonist als auch die Antagonistin können mit Maschinen sprechen und so Menschen kontrollieren. Somit lernte man, dass man nicht zu viel vor einer Maschine sitzen sollte und auch mal abschalten sollte.

Der Schreibstil ist päsabel; Stan sollte bei den Comics bleiben, kann er besser. Denn ein Buch ist eine Nummer zu groß für ihn. Leider hat ein Genie im Schreiben nicht immer in allen Branchen Gewinn. Hier ist der große Stan Lee eher ein Verlust

Fazit? Meh. Das Buch ist einfach nur mäßig.
