Lots of smut. Barely plot. Guessed the plot twist which was of course a rush but not in love with any of the characters

I rather enjoyed this book, lots of spice but also rather predictable
Really enjoyed the story/plot, I almost feel like it paced too quickly, cannot wait for the next book tho!.

This book was a fun quick read. I thought it was well paced and interesting enough. I wish there had been a little more detail with character descriptions and the areas but overall it was decent. The plot was a bit obvious but it was still enjoyable.

I am not sure what I was expecting but unfortunately this did not exceed my expectations 😅 I wanted to like this book so much, and it was pretty entertaining and the spice was spicing, I found this book lacking a lot. I'm not even really a critical reader tbh and I just 😅
I prefer my romance to have some emotional connection before and it seems like these characters really only bonded over their shared lust for one another. I would consider this book a fast burn with insta-lust. I love my spice but I like there to be an emotional connection between the characters before that happens and it seems like there was none before for most of the book. It wasn't until the end that they started to have more of an emotional connection to each other that suddenly jumped to love. It doesn't really make sense for me that they could love each other already, other than a mate bond happening. Which I could see coming miles away cuz it was the only thing that explained how they acted with one another.
There were a ton of things I could see happening before they did. I hate saying it but this book felt a little bit like a low budget From Blood and Ash 😩 I hate feeling this way because I just met the author, and it makes me feel guilty for feeling this way. I really wanted to love this book as much as everyone else has but it was just a bit of a disappointment. Also Adara 🤦♀️ she's just so dumb a lot of the times to me, and maybe that's just because I feel like I know what's going on and she's just absolutely clueless to everything that's going on. There is just a lot that I don't understand her thought process before she acts a lot.
I think I will try to read the second book to see if it gets any better and go from there.
