I felt disgusted through most of this book. It covers dark subjects that were hard to read. The emotions this book made me feel were so strong: hurt, disgust, devastation, even leaving me feeling trapped. When a book has the power to make me feel like this one did, it’s truly great.

A powerful debut that is both haunting and absolutely heartbreaking. I was absolutely glued to this audiobook from start to finish- I needed to see Roan reclaim herself, her body and her spirit. A story I won’t soon forget.
