pelicanfreak's review against another edition
5.0
Within a few pages, this book gripped me and there was no going back. Any time I had to put it down, I missed it and now that it’s over, I still miss it. Major book hangover. Ward is a brilliant writer, has a knack for putting you right into the scene.
It’s third person POV with alternating POVs; mostly the protagonist’s but at times briefly, others just to paint a very clear picture and round things out.
Character development is advanced and some that are relatable and others you’ll likely love to hate. Reads as a standalone, and wraps up neatly in the end. Book manages to be haunting in a completely thrilling way; I’ll never get enough of Ward’s writing, I think.
No typos or continuity errors were noted, book is professionally presented.
5 stars, would give this more if I could. Will likely re-read from time to time.
