Tears rolled down my cheeks when I read the last line of this memoir "I call it an education". It's brilliant, motivational, gripping and a million things at the same time. I'm not ready to put my thoughts into words yet. I will have to reread it before writing
my review. A galaxy full of starts to this beautiful memoir.
All I can tell you is...
You NEED to read it!!

This was an incredible story, unbelievable, at times. I am in awe that Dr. Westover was able to survive and tell the tale.

Wow, I’m so glad Tara has shared her story with us. As a former teacher, I’m an advocate for education. Hearing about Tara’s education and lack there of was eye opening. The way she discusses how it has impacted her relationships, especially with her family was very interesting to me. The biggest detail that stuck out to me was her retelling of reading about the Holocaust for the first time in college. Around the 40% mark, right before she went off to school, it started dragging for me, but the second half of the book made up for it.
