It took me a few chapters to realize that the 4 main characters were actually quadruplets, but once I realized that (and it didn't take long), the book really started coming together. Jovian, Angelica, Amber, and Joya each have some sort of magic, although it is new to each of them. When Amber is kidnapped, the others begin the dangerous journey to bring her back. This book really kept me reading and I can't wait to see what will happen next. This is a perfect book for any fantasy lover.

I received this book free in exchange for my review. All opinions are 100% my own.

To be honest, when I first started reading the book, I wasn't sure I would like it. I just couldn't get into it and was a little confused by it.

After a few chapters though, I was hooked. The story really draws you in as it progresses. I enjoy the interactions of the quadruplets. They have such love for each other. They are each very strong characters with their own individual quirks. I'm not sure who my favorite is quite yet. I'll wait until later in the series to figure it out.

I really liked the complexity of the world they live in. There are many types of dangers they must face and they don't always know what is evil and what is just perceived to be. There are new creatures, myths and legends, friends and foes, around each corner it seems. It really keeps them on their toes.

I look forward to reading the other books in the series. Once I finised reading this one, I was eager to start the next one. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a complex, mysterious, magical story with interesting characters and surroundings.
