Cute and easy read. I liked the plot line and how things connected together.

This was a fun read, with a nice mystery. I'd forgotten how often Nancy's cases coincide with whatever her father is working on, LOL, but there was a bit of clever writing in this installment, and I liked the plot (even if I did see it coming immediately). All in all, I'm enjoying revisiting this series, and am looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Nancy is growing on me--although this one was a little too easy to solve (sort of the opposite of the first mystery, which was impossible without the info about the clock). Still not my favorites, but they're short and snappy and I look forward to reading the next one, which I've heard is a favorite.

Love the excitement of the opening chapter—Nancy and her friend capsize a boat during a thunderstorm, yikes! Started out with a bang and then coasted the rest of the way through. I have to admit, this one was pretty predictable, but it’s so fun to follow Nancy on her adventures and meanderings.

I just love the nostalgia. I'm definitely too advanced of a reader for this kind of book, but I'm not going to let that stop me from enjoying the ride.

- These books are just plain old fashioned fun!

- I love that each book is a different kind of mystery. The last book was a ghost mystery, and this one was more dangerous.

- I think Nancy is getting more inquisitive and bold with each case she solves. She almost has no boundaries on what she will do for clues. I enjoy seeing our young sleuth grow as a detective.

- Like I said, this book was filled with more dangers. It had more action in it! The book starts out with Nancy almost drowning, and it isn't the last time Nancy's life is threatened.

- I like the illustrations in these books. They are fun and old school sketches.

- I like how Nancy involves people in her investigations. She always lets people know where she is and what she is planning. I like how everyone helps her and cares for her. Nancy has a really nice support group going for her.

- Nancy makes friends everywhere she goes. She is intelligent and kind. I really admire her character.

The nostalgia train continues. This is tried and true Nancy Drew-- starts with a storm on the lake where she and Helen are vacationing and doesn't let up until the last chapter when she solves the mystery. Cliff hanger endings, Nancy's ability to get out of tough situations, and lots of trips in her convertible --- it is all as I remember loving as a young teenager. Such fun to reread!
