the twists and turns of give me love by corinne michaels had me on the edge of my seat.

we're back again in rose canyon for Emmett and blakely's story. an actual marriage of convenience and second chance romance. both of these together fit PERFECT. i had so many emotions reading this - happy, sad, frustrated, worried, shock, ALL OF IT.

the writing of course is amazing (as well as the smut) and the pacing of this story is much better than brie and spencer in the first rose canyon. there's not too much fluff, the plot was a lot more sharper and to the point; with just enough romance and suspense that will keep you wondering who did it and what's going to happen.

blake is such a strong MC, we love a woman who works hard and loves harder

Maybe I need to read more romantic suspense, I'm enjoying these! This time we find out why Emmett and Blakely are married but no one in his life knew. The mutual pining is great, the dual timeline/memories aspect was interesting, and I loved meeting Emmett's dad, Hank. This book also explained a lot I expected to learn in the first book, all based on info from the other series I read that technically comes after this one. Now time for Holden's book... not sure if it'll have the same suspense/high stakes vibes but we shall see.

Hated the sex/human trafficking plot + Way too much filler in the writing.

Give Me Love is the second book in the Rose Canyon series by Corinne Michaels, featuring a second chance romance/marriage of convenience mashup between Emmett and Blakely. They were two close friends who served together in the military and opted to get married for the benefits. When feelings started getting involved Blakely left without a word. A few years later, Emmett is the sheriff in his small town, and she shows up needing help locating a missing girl that may link to a case he worked. He wants a divorce, she wants him. Unfortunately, the missing girl case is bigger than they all expected. Can they work through their issues from the past and build a real marriage together? Or will the looming danger from this mysterious case overtake them, before they figure out who is behind the disappearances and murders?

As with the first book, the world building here is excellent, with well-developed characters, authentic emotion and interactions, drama, action, sizzling chemistry, and plot twists! The suspense aspect was top notch, having my mind going back and forth with guesses on who could be the villain for the case at hand. I was definitely surprised! I can’t wait to read the next book!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

this book was very different than what i expected by the sneak peak from help me remember.

i enjoyed that it was the fmc that had the commitment phobia and was the one that had to work her way back into the mmc's good graces.
