What an introduction to Ms Hoover. I heard mixed reviews on this book, but honestly I was enthralled. It was an easy read that had me sinking my teeth into the edge of my seat. Would probably give this more than four stars, but wouldn’t say it is quite a five for me. Would highly recommend if you’re a Gone Girl fan.

I dont know how to feel about this book....if you ask me what were my thoughts while reading it would be: "ok, im confused" and " No f way."
Even tho i expected and predicted how Verity's manuscript would end and i had a feeling she would have been the one to kill Harper, i still was shocked and angry. I love how Hoover wrote on the negative character prespective because i would never be able to think like that and this was a new thing for me.
Now i am not sure what to belive, if Verity actally was or not guilty....
I wasnt expecting the romance here and i actually liked it~
And tbh i have some mixed feelings about Jeremy but i also feel bad bc his family will always be chronic and full of tragedy.
Though chapter 29 was fire~❤️
I know that there are a lot of ppls that dont enjoy Colleen's books but i actually like them. I like how she writes the drama and the characters background. I look forward to the other books she has!

this book really reminded me of The Act in some ways. It really was some gypsy rose type of shit. This book was so good!! The ending didn’t feel rushed and I really appreciated it.

Interesting plot, but I thought the sexual content could have been removed without effecting the plot.

I don’t understand how anyone can say they dislike this book. It was truly amazing. It’s a screwy psychological thriller, mixed with a romance, mixed with ???? . I can’t explain how many things this book made me feel without spoiling. So I won’t. Overall, it was a huge mind f**k. I’m not someone who reads thrillers, but wow, this has made me branch out to real others.
