This story shone best when it was Shiori acting with or for her loved ones and unfortunately I found some parts of it to drag. 

However, Takkan and Shiori together were a joy.

That's a DNF at 30%.
The plot just makes no sense while I can not decide whether Shiori annoys me more with the constant whining and act-now-think-never attitude, or Seryu for not slapping the living hell out of her to get it together.

The whole thing just feels like she gave over the writing of these books at the near end of Six Crimson Cranes to a 12 year old as a school project.
