First, I need to point out that the narration on the audiobook was amazing. Nathan Foad could not have done a more perfect job of it!

As for the actual content of the book, every time I guessed something, something else slammed into me and took me by complete surprise. Right up to the end, I was still wrong on what was coming. I enjoy being surprised by a plot because it doesn't happen as often as it once did.

This story was funny and sad and dark and hopeful and had something to say. I'm recommending it to everyone.

I really enjoyed this book more than I was anticipating I would.

Ganymedes is an enchanting and loveable narrator. It was a joy to follow him around the ship and meet the characters through his eyes. Even when things got dark, he still would crack a joke to avoid showing his tender little heart. I loved him so much.

The mystery was engaging and I did not anticipate the twists and turns the story took. I found myself constantly surprised, but nothing was too outlandish to believe.

The ending of the story was so satisfying. I would read a sequel where this left off, but I also would accept if this was the end.

Really creative world building and character building without feeling too overwhelming with fantasy lore. It was just the book I needed right now honestly.

This one just wasn’t for me. At first I found the MC amusing, but the tone and style of writing became grating, and I just couldn’t wrap my head around the world building. It was too much modern dialogue and language for what appeared to be a fantasy setting, but then I could have missed where this story was actually taking place, because it was very much blink-and-you-miss-it scene setting.
