{My Thoughts} – There are quite a few interesting things going on within the pages of this brilliantly new installment to the Goddess Girls Series.

This books main focus is on Aphrodite: The Goddess of Love. She ends up going through a rough spot, by getting a low grade in one of her classes. Her teacher for that class agrees to let her do an extra credit assignment but only if she does it on her Holiday break. She steps up to the challenge because she doesn’t like the grade she got, however, she didn’t think the extra credit would prove to be so difficult either.

Zues and Athena also have a role in this book. They have some personal issues going on that the need to work out. Athena seeks out Aphrodite’s help when she finally comes to terms with what she is going through.

I really enjoyed this book as it has some nice lessons in it. It helps you to see that you can find friendships in the most unexpected of places. It helps you to see that when you put in the effort good things can happen. It helps you to see that helping your friends and being there for them when they need you is a really good thing and that it can be very rewarding. It also helps you to see that you can find like in the most unexpected of places.

I am definitely going to read more of the Goddess Girls series. They are as fun as the covers are. I am so glad that I finally picked one up and read it. What I loved the most is that the story was very much one that you could understand without being knowledgeable about mythology. Much of it was explained and by the end you would be taught what was essential to the story. It even taught me knew mythology- I didn't know about Pygmalion or Metis, Athena's mother, being turned into a fly.

This particular story also had some Egyptian mythology in it, introducing Ra, Isis and 3 other Egyptian goddesses. This series is a great one to add to fans of Tera Lynn Childs's [b:Oh. My. The book also had a pretty important moral to the story which I think is not preached, but will definitely make the reader think about their friends, choices and enemies.

Cute. Felt like they were trying to introduce a spin off with the Egyptian goddess.

Wow, can I just say, Pyg is iconic…
Anyway, I enjoyed this book a lot. Not as much as the first 5 but it was still an enjoyable re-read. Aphrodite isn’t my favorite pov, as I’ve said before, but I still appreciate her and her drama. The plot was fast-paced even though this is one of the longer books and I enjoyed that. Also, always love some Aphrodite and Ares Drama™. Overall, I’m enjoying rereading his series and this one was a fun one :)

I really love these books! I'm reading them out of order due to loaning them from the library, but if you know basic Greek and Roman mythology you'll be fine doing that!

This book in particular was really cool because we had Greek goddesses and Egyptian goddess. I LOVE books that intertwine more than one region of gods and goddesses. Makes things more interesting, lol!

I do wish Aphrodite got more credit in books though. She always gets the ditsy and airhead title and she's WAY more than that. At least in this book the authors "redeemed" her at the end but I do wish it was not an issue to begin with. There's nothing wrong with liking "feminine" things. It doesn't make you automatically an airhead or whatever negative connotations society loves to place on anything girls and women like. Ex: pop music, boy bands, sweet drinks, bright colors, pleasant scents.

Again this is a watered down version of the myths so kids and tweens will adore and for that I can't get upset about there not being more hard hitting lessons that some find too political or socially aware, because the cartoon versions of myths got me started on my love for mythology as a kid. So any retelling is like an intro for you if you don't know much about that and because of that I hope this series continues to do that for other kids.

If you a 20 something like me, it's just fun to read! :)

IT was pretty good actually. I like Aphrodite as a character. She is definitely a diva, even though she didn't think so. I also like her relationship with Isis. They may not have wanted to be friends, but they ended up being friends. i think that the guy, Pygmalion(Pyg for short)is really picky on what type of girl he wanted. My least favorite character is Hathor. At first, Aphrodite's friends, Athena, Artemis, and Persephone, thought that they could be friends with Isis' friends, Hathor, Bastet, and Ma'at. But, when they found out about Aphrodite's challenge and that Isis was her competition , Hathor gave them the letter way too late... ON PURPOSE!! This made me very angry. I can't believe that Ares likes Aphrodite!!! According to Aphrodite, he is the cutest guy in MOA( Mount Olympus Academy). I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I bet it will be good.
