Pierre is the epitome of patience; he continuously loved Tally throughout the many years of her healing. Tally is healing while also living her best life. These two were a dynamic duo and I’m here for it. I wish we saw more of them as a couple. I just know once it was official, Pierre was definitely going above and beyond to express his love for her.

Tropes: Childhood Best Friends to Lovers, Best Friends With Benefits, Unrequited Love, Etc.

I enjoyed the author's writing style.  Main character Tallulah I couldn't stand at times and other times I felt sorry for what she went through that led her to live the life she did.  Granted her ex-boyfriend who she dated 4yrs ago got married on her away on a trip and posted undying love for his new wife devastated Tallulah to make her new rules of dating.  Her using her best friend Pierre for sex the way she did, even though he wasn't complaining in that respect, but his declaration of love to her was a lot.  Besides her ex, there were other factors that led to her fear of true love and kept her running scared.  Loved Pierre his brothers and parents as well as mutual best friend, CeCe to Tallulah and Pierre.  Look forward to reading other books by this author.

Good Story… could use a better editor

Great story line but the author could definitely benefit from having a professional editor (or a better editor if they already have one). The format of this book made it longer than what it should’ve been. The wide spaces between paragraphs make the book feel disjointed.

I absolutely LOVED this book!!! As much as I wanted Pierre to stop being so weak in the knees and “STAND UP!” I realized that the heart just wanted what it wanted, which is a part of love and life. We’ve all been there! As much as I wanted to drop kick Tally, I realized that I was her and she was me. As someone with abandonment trauma from a parent, I couldn’t stay mad and irritated with Tally for long. Just like her, I have a hard time receiving love and believing that it’s genuine. I, too, push away and self-sabotage. I, too, have a disorganized attachment style. I felt like I was reading about myself. The characters were so human, so relatable. The plot was so heartwarming and sweet. I’m so glad they both got their happy ending. Although I initially wanted him to, I’m glad Pierre didn’t give up. I’m also so glad Tally finally accepted her feelings and acted on them. Such a beautiful novel. I can’t wait to read “Unconditional” next!
