Talulla x Pierre
Imagine being in love with your best friend for years, but they are unable to reciprocate it because they’ve been burned by love in the past. Burned by people they trusted and who were supposed to love them the most. This causes them to keep others at arms length and no longer trust love.
Even though the FMC frustrated me so bad, I really enjoyed this book. So often you see men suppressing their feelings, but not the MMC….he spoke his love constantly and showed the FMC as well. Understanding how bad love had affected her in the past, he remained patient and allowed her to figure out her way of accepting his affection as well as giving her own.
This was a such sweet read with a bit of spice!

This book was beautiful. I loved Tally and Pierre.
This was very much a friends to lovers, but, one of the friends has always been in love with the other.
Tally wasn’t frustrating as a character, I think she’s a reflection of a lot of people, women, men, children that suffer the traumatic experience of being abandoned by someone who is meant to love, protect you and be there for you. And then, the awful experience of trying to trust again and being let down tremendously by someone else in such a horrible way, it really shakes the foundation of a person.
I wish that some of the focus had been put into seeing her actively work on healing those wounds AND then reaching a point where she could be open to a man, a person that’s always been there for her, accepted her as she was.
I wish Pierre had also worked on himself and standing up for himself, he loved Tally so much that he was willing to settle for scraps. He deserved more.
These thoughts aside, I really enjoyed this story.

I didn't love this love story. I felt both were very selfish.
