This was my first book by Shon, and I can't wait to read more of her work! I honestly have never seen an MMC like this one. I mean, there's pining, and then there's aggressive pining. The MMC definitely falls in the latter.
I didn't mind suffering through the FMCs imperfect actions. Don't get me wrong, it was rough, but I also think trauma creates an imperfect person. And it's about the people who choose to stick around to support them through their trials and tribulations. Even though I thought the MMC was trying to force his love on her, ultimately, he was always showing up as her friend when she needed him.
I want to be friends with this FMC. She works in a library and wrote a children's book! While I don't have aspirations to write a book, I do have them for working in a library. Between that and the plants she loved, I wish I could meet her in real life. We could talk about our traumatic pasts while watering out plants haha.

I find it interesting how many people think that a lengthy, detailed sex scene makes a book great. Honestly, I’m a bit tired of it! I’m really looking for stories that engage the mind rather than just focusing on physical attraction. Is that too much to ask? If anyone has recommendations for some wonderful and enlightening African American stories, I’d love to hear them! Thank you!

One of the cutest love stories I’ve read. Cuz where tf can I order a Pierre from. I don't think Prime sells those. This was my first FWB book and I loved it. This lady was so hurt and all this man wanted to do was love her. Just a classic.
