My all-time favorite book! So far.... ;)

This book really pulled me in and I think it will be a great discussion book at book group!

I mean—the writing is beautiful. Of course it is. But I guess I just don’t see all the hype about this book.

Really a 3.5 stars for me. Simply personal opinion and taste.

What can I say about this book? This is possibly one of the only books that I can honestly say that I cannot stand. I thought it sounded interesting because it's about art, but I just couldn't stand it.

Plot or Character Driven: Character

tragic and powerful. a sad story about the choices we make and whether they are really "choices"

Slow and meditative. Very sad in some parts. Very well written.

An interesting read; I liked its examination of parent-child relationships, religion and art.
