Moderate: Death of parent, Sexual content, Cancer, and Racism
Probably the biggest flaw of the book is that it contains the notorious black best friend trope. I feel like there was some effort to give Q a life outside of Frank, but it did not feel as significant as it should have. Mentioning why he goes by queue in the first place besides the fact that he doesn’t like being called Will would have been a good startannie_tonk's review against another edition

This book is hard to read. It tackles a lot--a LOT-- of really difficult racial and political topics. If you think you're about to read a cute YA romcom, just know that's not what you'll be getting. The romance is minimal, the family is priority, and the hard conversations take center stage.
I enjoyed the almost dark teen humor and the author's way of writing. However, I don't think I would be desperate to pick up the next book in the series.
