Beautifully drawn, with a story that just began to reveal itself. I'm curious to learn more in the next volume...

Since we're not given any kind of context or anything, the story is confusing at first, but it's not really that complicated to understand. And the art just blew me away. Not only the design of the characters, but also the different species and colors and background. Everything is just so beautiful.

This is a twisty one! I really enjoyed the story and the art was phenomenal. There were times when I think we time travel a bit or see another's perspective that kind of threw the momentum of the story for me, but overall this was a stunning book and I loved the queen/tiger =)

Really pretty art, but a lot of the dialogue felt stilted and choppy, and the pacing overall wasn't as smooth as I'd have liked.

There is so much of this story that grabbed me as soon as that solider called a tiger "Your Majesty" I wanted to know what this beautifully illustrated story was about. There are some great things put in here, some magical place, some magical animals that may or may not be people, some kinda spirit guide/yoda character, kingdoms, marriage to unite kingdoms, and a relationship between a solider and a queen. It has so many interesting things going for it and yet none of it is set up to be interesting. The story of this book isn't very smooth and the flow just isn't there. There isn't any character development or relationships SHOWN, just told, so it's hard to connect and care.

!!BUT!!! I felt reading this book and it's amazing illustrations was 100% worth it. It really got my imagination going and I hope to continue reading this story! ~Ashley

The artwork is STUNNING!! But the storyline was a bit trickier to find.
