Loved the first two. This one was all over the place. A waste of my time. The other books I could have been reading instead? It pains me.

I LOVED IT!!!! Best of the series. I just about cried when I finished, sitting in the eye doctor's waiting room for my appointment. All I can say is, please, read it. You'll love it.

This is the last installation in the Gemma Doyle trilogy, or the Spence Triology, or the Realms Triology, all titles could apply. It will captivate you as much as the first two. This novel spans a whole gammit of emotions from smiles and laughter, tears and heartbreak, anger and frustration, to so much more. You'll laugh out loud, you'll cry tears of all sorts, and most importantly you'll long to talk for hours on end about the conclusion. This is perhaps one of the most illuminatingly wonderful triologies that I have ever read. I deeply am in awe of Ms. Libba Bray's talent of telling a story that is so much more than a simple story, fantasy, historical novel, romance, page turner, commentary on society; it's all of these together and more. I've read many books but never has one made me question all that I know in such detail while simultaneously bringing me to deep friendships with the charecters and yet shedding light on so many questions that always reside in the back of your mind (but that you are told to squash) about the world. These books will be reread many a time, and passed on to all the young girls and women in my life that deeply need to hear Gemma's tale to understand their own, thank-you Libba Bray for such an amazing work.

It is four a.m. and I have to go to work in a few hours. I think that says it all..

This is one of my favorite trilogies of all time. It started slow for me, but the second and third book in the series just blew me away. I fell in love with Gemma, the realms, the Victorian era, the pretty dresses and the fierceness of the girls.

I read Rebel Angels at the beginning of April and wanted to read the third book very soon after. But the size just intimidated me. This is a book with over 800 pages. You don't just fly through it. I also read a lot of reviews where readers said that they found most of the book somewhat tedious and that the last few hundred pages saved the book for them. That's when I was really anxious to read it. So I just didn't. Until I finally picked it up in December only to put it down again after reading about two chapters into the story. However I did pick it up at the beginning of January and I just flew through this story.

The writing was, as in the previous books, just wonderful. I loved the behaviour of all of the posh ladies and girls and the gentlemen as well. This flair is something I really like reading about. The tea parties, the gowns, the balls, etc.

Also. This girl power and the relation to the character development of the girls was brilliant.
As much as I loathed Ann, I loved her just as much in this novel. Her character had so much more depth to her troughout the third book that I couldn't understand how I ever loathed her so much.
Felicity is great and strong female character who claims her freedom no matter the cost, which I admired very much.
And lastly Gemma. Being torn between her own life and the good of all she did make her mistakes. But she also learned from them and that's what counts.

There comes not one scene to mind where I thought that the story was tedious or that I expected a different outcome of this part or that. No. The story was so beautifully woven together and the ending was open, yes, but (!) I also found closure in it. It was just fitting to end this trilogy like it did and I am happy for it. I enjoyed every page of this enourmous beast.
