Originally I gave this 5 stars but on rereading in going to downgrade to 2.

I really really dislike Portia and I mean dislike her.

What is with historical romance and extended metaphors as dirty talk? This is a real question. Is it about maintaining euphemism? Is it camp? Is it tongue-in-cheek? I'd love to know.

Also I'm very scared of gambling addiction. Like actually so frightened.

I had such hope for this one. Not as good as book one.

This book neither delighted nor horrified me as much as the first. Portia was a good character, but I guess I didn't care as much for her and Bryght as I did for the couple in the first book. Still fun, though.
