heartbreakingly perfect
I have no words. I mean, I do, but I can’t tell them to you. You just have to read it. You have to go into this knowing what you do from the previous 2 books and prepare for it to rock your world, because rock your world it does. I didn’t have any expectations when going into this one because I really wanted to keep an open mind. And that simple idea ruined me. This book ripped my heart out of my body and left me sobbing in bed for what felt like the whole thing. It was written in such a beautiful and powerful way. The relationships in these pages are ones that draws you in and makes you love them, imperfections and all. I’ll miss my sun and my stars, but this book is one that will quite literally never leave my mind. This trilogy deserves every praise under the sun because it didn’t just tell you a story, it sucked you in and brought you on a journey of every emotion. And I would do it all again in a heartbeat

Well. I think of the three books in this series, I enjoyed this one the most.
While it may have been outlandish, quite unrealistic and extremely overdramatic, this installment had more plot to it than both book one and two combined, and I was quite happy to finally feel like I was actually reading something with a little bit of substance.
That being said, I still don’t like El. She’s just such a fake character and very self centered; I never could get past any of it to actually like her, or even connect with her on the smallest level. She also somehow transformed herself into some kind of super spy in less than six months after being very kept and spoiled her entire life, and the entire flip of her felt forced and so, so fake.
I don’t know. I won’t one star this one, because I wasn’t bored out of my mind the entire time like the first two, but I also can’t say that I enjoyed this… at all.
Shout out here to the most confusing and random Pandora’s Box ending that didn’t fit the story and just served to absolutely stun me.
As predicted, I was a sobbing mess at 3am finishing this book.
JACE DAWSON!!! While I was absolutely Team Coop…this man had me a sobbing wreck. And you’re trying to tell me he’s spent thousands of lives basically not being chosen??? I CAN’T!! I need justice for Jace.
Our girl El has some of the best character growth I’ve ever read. She’s such a badass and I get some may find her annoying at times but I always appreciate sass & snark in a FL.
Ch. 27 will live rent free in my mind from now until eternity.
Honestly, this is why I can’t read love triangles. EMOTIONAL DAMAGE.
*****SPOILER ZONE******
The only thing I can’t wrap my brain around is the sudden appearance of…Pandora? Those last few chapters about the in-between, fate, souls, and the gods left my head spinning and came out of left field and was heavy fantasy for an otherwise modern/contemporary romance.

It was just a bit slow compared to the first two books that it took me a while to finish it, once I put it down it wasn’t difficult to leave it
This series as a whole was very good! I loved every twist in turn and following the characters struggle. This book was darker compared to the other books. This book was more of an action packed undercover agent book in the first half of the book. The greek mythology was a very interesting aspect of the book. I felt a little bad about Jace just being in the in-between for so long I feel like maybe everything with him should have been done in the first part before the second part just because he really doesn't come back and i understand El didn't want him to go but keeping him like that for almost a year just to have him die anyways seemed a bit dragged out. I personally would have loved to see him come back and maybe join the guys on the mission to save Coop and get to see him be kickass. It would have been sad to see him with someone else, but I think I personally would have preferred it over him actually choosing to die. I also could be super bias as I am definitely a Jace girly. Again over all really liked this series a lot and have fun reading it. I'm not sure if there is going to be a spin off but I'd love to see how El's boys end up...I would love to see Mac and (maybe) Tiff?! Maybe see how Alec and she who will not be named end up just cuz I'd love to see everyone's happy ending and also see how Coop and Alec run the new Bainbridge sector. Also love to see El and Coop and the kids more.
