I love Grace Dent so I was very much looking forward to the book. It didn’t disappoint and I was very pleased about how honestly she spoke about her childhood and growing up as a northerner. There were many parts, mainly growing up in the north and family illness, that I could resonate with and I found it very heartwarming.

I don’t read a lot of non-fiction but who knows why after reading this wee gem.

An entertaining walk through her childhood and the part both food and writing played in her life and decisions.

A lovely read and real insight into the reality behind behind Grace Dent’s foodie persona. I enjoyed it immensely. I’m becoming a bit hooked on foodie memoirs this year!
