Hearing Dylan Thomas's own voice from 1952 is such a treat: so rich and musical and mesmerising. The poems are wide ranging from ominous to epic to very funny. A wonderful listen - one to listen to over and over again.

Here's a little sample: "...and some few small aunts,
not wanted in the kitchen, nor anywhere else for that
matter, sat on the very edges of their chairs, poised
and brittle, afraid to break, like faded cups and
saucers." Delightful. Recommended.

Finally stayed awake the whole way through reading this. Lovely nostalgic Christmas memories that I wish had been longer make a very strange bedfellows with somewhat apocalyptic poems. Read by the author, and I enjoyed the sound of his voice
