Excellent discworld novel. Really funny, fast paced, socially observant and relevent and absolutely engaging through the whole thing.

I loved the characters and the descriptions of the people of Ankh-Morpork (and their priorities of sales and entertainment). Super funny moments with interesting social commentary but sometimes slow to get through. I probably would have had an easier time if it had been divided by chapters.
Pratchett’s writing is always so beautiful and his metaphors are amazing. Easily the best part of his writing is the imagery. My only issue with the books tends to be how much it jumps around, but it’s a relatively small complaint.
I’ve been meaning to try and get into Diskworld since I was 14, and I finally finished one! It probably would have been more impactful if I had read it back then, but this was still amusing enough to maybe try another one. It wasn’t as amazing as hyped, it’s a just kind of funny fantasy fiction parody, but I can see why they have a following. The book felt a little over-long, and some of the jokes were kind of beat into the ground, but I had fun reading all the same.
