I can't stop thinking about this book, it was
AMAZING!!!! It was so much more than I was
expecting. It broke my heart, put it back together,
and did it all over again... until finally it mended it
and it was so freaking worth it. Every stage of their
lives was told in the most delicate way. It began with
friendship, that turned and built into an epic love
story. The love between Silas and Alana is one for the
books. I love everything about this, even the
heart wrenching moments.

I read these books all out of order. I started in the middle of The Windsors and so I had an idea as to who Silas was. Strong, quiet and smarter than everyone but this book....this book was game changing. Have you ever had a book that half way through you just could not for the life of you understand how everyone isn't talking about it every day all day? This is that book for me. Silas is the ultimate man. He is fierce, independent, strong, possessive, and smart. But he is also kind, caring, sweet, emotional and just never quits. He finds his Alanna on the steps of a church after each of them loses a crucial parent, giving her a hanker-chief to clear her tears and some words of wisdom, and that is the beginning of their amazing friendship that turns into a love for the ages type of story. This story was so unbelievably beautiful and well described that I feel like my search for my future partner was forever changed. A love like Silas and Alanna that can go through so many trials, tribulations, wins and losses and one major catastrophic event and still end so pure, fierce and wholesome.....that's the kind of love we all deserve.

I gave this book a 4 because I am a SUCKER for slow burn romance, "I have always loved you", "I have never forgotten about you" tropes. I don't do books that are sad because reality is sad enough, but I could get through the sad plotline.

It does come off as cliche at times and I know why people don't like it, but I said what I said.

I love Maura but this book no. It wasn't for me. The first half is the past of the couple where they are really young. My issue was the dialogues and the pompous speech. No way teens speak like that. Like they are at least 30 years old. Also I don't know what they teach you in America but as a Greek I assure you that ψ doesn't pronounce sigh but see with p in the front. But as I often see it mispronounced it was the least that concerned me. Did I struggle to finish it? Of course. Did I skip pages? Also yes.
