- 1 Star for POV: there is only one POV I enjoy less than second person and that is first person present tense...
From the blurb I anticipated a different stoy, but nevertheless I enjoyed it very much. I could empathise with the dread that is a job that drains your will to dream and the unexpexted that can give you hope again. Wish I could have read this story ten years ago.

The tone of the book just isn't clicking with me. I also don't think I love second-person narration, but I may try picking it back up at some point.

Journeyman Wen is an intern at One Wizard, a wizarding firm that helps people with spells, curses, possessions, you name it. One day, they get a frantic call from a young man who wakes up to a mysterious talisman on his wall. Come to find out, he has been possessed by a demon prince from Hell! Wen works to find a solution for his client is this cozy novella.

Obviously I'm getting into my early Fall vibes, ya'll. This was definitely a fun read. It felt kind of like a Doctor Who episode, but more paranormal rather than sci-fi. For all the wackiness of this story, there was a lot of commentary regarding bureaucracy and working an office job, which I RELATED TO SO HARD. I only wish it were longer and more fleshed out.
