Malekith the Accursed has been freed from his prison in Hel and plots to kill all dark elves. Thor goes to the other realms to assemble a team of individuals who can help defeat Malekith. After a traitor is revealed and bloodshed falls, Malekith takes his place as king of the Dark Elves, but Thor has united races that would have never fought side by side before. Thor is undoubtedly one of the coolest characters, and to see him face off against an awesome rendition of Malekith was really cool.

How do you follow up a classic? With this I guess. I know this leads to the War of the Realms, but not the biggest fan of Malekith. This reads like if Luke had to battle Boba Fett AFTER defeating Vader and the Emperor.

Not quite as good as volume two. But the first issue, where Thor returns to Midgard after being away and checks in on all his friends is essentially the perfect comic book.

A good wind-down after the Gorr stuff wrapped up. It may not have the same stakes as the previous storyline but this was at a time when Malekith needed a better spotlight than the 2nd Thor film and honestly the most "filler" issue that I'm sure people were made about where Thor just goes about his day making people's lives better might be my favorite issue of the entire run.

This wasn't amazing, but I actually liked the story. And the frost giants. I would have given this five stars if the ending had been better.

The art is rather pretty.

The neo-liberal grossness maybe actually outshines the military propaganda of the Marvel Movies and the script is really boring with Prequel energy politics and dialogue.

This is less dramatic, more humorous than the previous two volumes of the new Thor. The "League of Realms" is kind of riffing off the fellowship of the ring, clearly. It's OK, but nothing special.

Very fun retelling of a Thor story that shows the depth of the character. The author sums up as follows: "But mostly they would tell of a god. A god caught between being a king and an angry young boy who loved the sound of his own thunder. A god who wondered every day if he was worthy, without ever realizing that was the very thing that made him so."
