Epic in every way... To be finished makes me a little sad too cause i'll never read about Saphira or any of the others again. Nothing new anyway.

While I love the overall story and the dragons, I have to agree with many that this book was too long. There was a lot of what one reviewer called "fillers". So many extra pages of description and things that neither built the story nor the character development. Were the chapters after the final battle absolutely necessary? Did eragon really need to leave forever? I know it's frustrating when too many loose ends are left, but to spend so many chapters after the climax doing so is overkill.
