I'm sad to have this wonderful series come to an end. This book wasn't my favorite in the series, but it is a satisfying conclusion. Nasuada's story line was one of my favorites in this book. She is such a strong character, and that is refreshing to see.
I found Roran's macho-man thing a bit annoying. It felt like we were having his great warrior abilities shoved in our faces. I also was a bit disappointed in the Galbatorix fight. It needed more action.

This entire series is long and tedious. Occassionally, it can be interesting but more often than not, it’s just rambling of no relevance to the storyline and boring. This ending to the entire series seemed completely pointless. All four books leading up to basically nothing. Yes, he defeats the king through some random chance of luck. Surprise, surprise.. Arya and Eragon’s feelings lead to nothing..The whole story focuses around his feelings for her and his character development to make him a compatible match to literally do nothing about their feelings for each other. Oh but Saphira gets it on with Arya’s baby dragon born after everything has been resolved and both Arya and Eragon get to experience their dragons passion.. how freaking awkward... after this series ending, I was completely done with this series and dumped it in the goodwill donations.
