this obviously had to get five stars
this story is INCREDIBLY important to me so i was really excited for the sequel which was only heightened by being able to attend one of the events on rachel lynn solomon’s book tour
i’m so glad i was able to read more of these characters who i adore and i loved seeing their new experiences
i was able to draw many parallels to my own freshman year and it was just so nice to read about the changes from high school to college since they impacted me so strongly
i cannot wait to go back through with a pen and a highlighter

so much better, sadder, sweeter, and more original than the first book.

I love these characters and how they grow/communicate with each other (even if it is a little unrealistic for college freshman to be this emotionally mature). I docked it a star because it’s a sequel to a high school romance we’ve read a million times and didn’t feel super original.

Loved getting to read more about Rowan and Neil! I love them so much. The mental health representation was great and I loved a lot of the new characters like Skyler and Rowan’s professor!

I definitely hyped this book up too much in my head in anticipation of its release. I felt like the first half was a little slow, but the second half was so good and emotional and I was crying by the end. RLS’s characters are always so relatable and lovable.
