I picked up this comic because [a:Stjepan Šejić|617155|Stjepan Šejić|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1367184066p2/617155.jpg] is the artist, and because I find the consept of Witchblade interesting. I've never read anything of the series before, but I know of it from I don't know where!

ok, to the album.
This story starts in the middle of the current Witchblade's life, so there's a lot of characters and relationships that I don't know anything about, BUT there is a neat little ''this has happened'' in the beginning of the album that gave me the bulletpoints, so it wasn't a huge problem that we were thrown into this world out of nowhere.
The author is also rather good at dropping small pieces of the story as we go along, giving just enough information that we don't feel lost, but not getting sucked into the backstory as I've seen many other authors do.

The art is... not what I expected. It is good, and I see Stjepan's style in it, but it is crude compared to what I'm used to. It is also digital, while I prefer a more cartoon-ish artstyle. It isn't bad, though. I don't think I could ever call Sejic's work bad.

So will I be reading on? Yes. I will be honest and say I'm not sure what the estory is in this arc yet, but I am interested in reading on. Part of that, is the fact that the MC is a mom to a toddler. You don't see that many places, and so I want to see how it impacts her life.
