Nothing much to say because this is a short story showing how the Enclave got started with people moving underground. It just adds a little bit of detail to the world the author created.

I really like Aguirre's Enclave series...yes its another dystopian/apocolyptic young adult novel but its really good and very different. I have read "Enclave" and another short called "Endurance". I was halfway through "Outpost" and without that (physical) book when I started reading "Foundation" on my kindle. "Foundation" is very short. A casual reader may not want to spend the .99 cents to buy this one but if you really like the Razorland series, it is worth the investment. "Foundation" tells of the events that lead to the end of the world as we know it, through the eyes of a teen boy named Robin. After a deadly conatmination sparks off a the spreading of a destructive virus. Robin's family is locked into an apartment complex with several other families. At first even the individual apartments are sealed off but as the story progresses the families begin to mingle in the hallways. Pre-allocated food is still being delivered to the residents so at this stage of the disaster the world is still functioning...somewhat. "Foundation" quickly tells how fast the world crumbles. Nothing in "Foundation" is going to change how you view the series but it was way to spend a little time in this world again.

This was a really great short story, of the foundations of the world as it is in the main series! Can't wait to reread more!

*First Read January 1st, 2012*
Great short story, a bit sad, since we know what happens to what they set up, but yeah, great short story!

A story that fills in a few blanks about how the world came to be as we see it in Deuce's story, from the origin of the virus to the arrangement of life in the enclave.

Eeeeeeeeh.

I didn't feel like this added a whole lot to the story, it was pretty basic and we didn't get much background on the Freaks, which is what I was hoping for. Plus, I wasn't entirely comfortable with the romance.
Spoiler Robin is bi? Apparently? Maybe? But Austin is gay? Anyways...

En kort berättelse om hur samhället i Enclave började. Väldigt fin trots den hopplösa situationen karaktärerna befinner sig i.

Short but a very nice introduction to the book series. I actually really quite enjoyed it a lot! I thought it was nice that the main character was gay and I like how the rest of the story is set up in this 'foundation'.
