A magic system based on the 4 elements, different POV chapters (including diary entries from the past), a FMC with Celeana vibes and dragons! This romantic fantasy was a fun read even though the writing was unnecessarily extra at times. It could have been way less pages, but the story was great! Can’t wait for book 2 to be released in April 2026 to figure out how the story ends!

I finished it and I didn't HATE it but damn Sarah, maybe try to get your point across in a little less words. Also I personally (PERSONALLY!) hate when authors use made up words to describe the passage of time. Why can't you call a day a day? Why does it have to be a dae? An aurora cycle?
Why is the glossary at the end of the book and you just expect me to know what a velvet trogg is? Come on now.
Raeve is literally a copy of Aelin Sardothien and Kaan is just a big (BIG!!) himbo whom I love. Love me a yearner. Too many dead dragons for my taste. Everything got a little more interesting on the last 100 pages, really struggled with the first 2728 pages though.

I am unwell. Im not sure how Sarah managed to give me all the answers I was asking for but simultaneously devastate me and have me on the edge of my seat for the next book but that is exactly what she did. Her writing is so descriptive and her world building mind blowing! She really brought the story and the characters and the world to life. I did read this book along with Between Pages & Friends Podcast and I highly recommend doing so. It's a lot to read and take in on your own. It really helped me enjoy the story so much more although either way this book is 5 stars. Please read this book it's incredible!
