It is somewhat disappointing how it took a week to finish 3 books in the PJO/HoO series but it took me almost 3 months to finish this book.
It was hilariously narrated through Percy Jackson, a witty teenager that is done with the gods' bs. Chapter by chapter, it follows a different Greek hero and their heroic (and idiotic) life story. It was easy to stop and pick up where you left off, however, it wasn't exactly extremely interesting.
Some stories were memorable. I do understand why some of these stories were included however it was just so boring that I skipped through some paragraphs.
Overall, it was an interesting book but some chapters were just plain boring and difficult to finish.
P.S. do not try to draw a family tree because it will certainly mess you up.

This book taught me about quite a few Greek Heroes I had no idea about and gave me more information on one I thought I knew well. (Turns out I didn't know anything about Hercules. Or that Kratos from the God of War games was clearly partially inspired by his story.)
The biggest takeaway was: don't be a Greek Hero.
This was more tragic than the Greek Gods by about 1000x.

Graphic: War, Fire/Fire injury, Animal death, Murder, Death, and Violence
Moderate: Gaslighting, Physical abuse, Sexual harassment, Animal cruelty, Death of parent, and Child death
Minor: Cannibalism

I had fun reading this book but this book kind of disappoint me. I don't know why Psyche is in the book but hey, I still enjoy it. Kinda want to see Achilles' story in here but no Achilles and still I enjoy this book.

I liked this book, but I didn't love it. It's a good book for kids to learn more about Greek mythology. There's loads of pop culture references and things that will make you giggle. Overall a good companion novel.

All I have to say is that this book was AMAZING!
The stories were so much fun and Percy's POV was epic. I'm so glad I read this (although, there is no way I wouldn't read it because... Percy). Thanks you Uncle Rick for giving us so many great stories and for the required dose of Percy so that we didn't go crazy.
Highly reccomend this because there is not better way to learn than for the teacher to be Percy. Where was he when I was studying the french revolution? Anyway, love the book and iching to get my hands on Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard.
