I was so excited for this book after the completion of #2 and it did not disappoint! i really liked book 1, but once reading the second one, I was hooked. This book was what I was looking for after those. Henry and Mac are on the run together and it is nice to see them figure each other out and what it means for them. There was humor (just like in the last books), but this was mostly action, drama, feelings, emotion, and good old story! Mac's family was awesome, and it was nice to see Henry finally start to believe that he might be worth all of that.
Fabulous book, fabulous series. Very sad it is done. I would love to see some more of these guys down the road, even if it has to be in the form of a short story.

I wanted this series to be epic, considering who wrote it. It wasn't bad, not at all, but maybe I was expecting something else entirely. Based on other Henry novels (except for Another Man's Treasure) I thought this one was gonna be jam packed with romance and angst and brilliant characters and writing. It had the last two in abundance, but didn't quite succeed in the first two.

I really liked Mac and Henry's relationship dynamic, but we didn't get to see too much of it. Every time they met, except for a very few exceptions, Henry either ran away changing his mind about staying with Mac, was being too sexual in front of Mac in order to provoke him and not always in a good way, or indulged in self flagellation. I felt that, like Mac, we never got to see the real Henry, Sebastian, whomever. It was like Mac had a relationship with someone I didn't know, someone fuzzy that I can't quite place, and that prevented me from getting too invested in his character, and consequently their relationship.

Readers not hung up on romance will definitely enjoy this one more.

The books are both serious and funny. This time all that trick business didn't bother me as much. The guilt complex, on the other hand... It was understandable, but sometimes too much. The narration was great. The narrator even did songs.
For the rain it raineth every day~
A very nice series.

Mac and Henry are on the run and the drama continues, along with a lot of humour and a knowing nod to both Shakespeare and the conventions of the crime genre.

Now FBI agent Mac is not only protecting witness Henry but is also under suspicion himself. They hide out at Mac’s farm but Henry is antsy – he’s an urbanite who feels ill at ease in Mac’s cosy family. Mac wants him to keep out of trouble but he has other ideas.

Events escalate and in the midst of a storm the crime plot that has run throughout the first three books comes to a climax.

The resolution nicely sets up a new direction for Mac and Henry in any future books. There’s a lot more Shakespeare still to go...

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley.

Love this series!

So book 4'll be called "All the World's a Stage" and it'll be all about Mac dealing with consultant Henry. Right?!

(Seriously I need another book)
