This was much better than I expected given that I dnfed it in my first read. In this book, there are various mentions to Arthur Conan Doyle and references to Poirot, for instance, they say things such as ``use your little grey cells mon ami´´´.I was pretty surprised to see poirot references here tbh. I wrote my thoughts on this book in a little notebook and here are some:
-The adventure of the sinister stranger has some parts that are similar to the big four.
-At first, I thought that the story called finessing the king was unfinished but it turns out it occupied two chapters instead of one. It is one of my favorite stories.
-IMO there is fatphobia in the story called the missing lady because SPOILER: there is a guy who says:I loathe fat woman and dogs, I think fashion loathes them too and they are an abomination unto the lord´´ and then the ending is that the woman was doing a therapy to lose weight because she was afraid of his husband reaction if he saw that she was ``fat´´´, are you kidding me? like wtf...
-Agatha knows so many things about poison!
-I didn't enjoy the last two stories, unfortunately.
I recommend this book for short story lovers!

Tommy and Tuppence Beresford take over Blunt's International Detective Agency to assist in the rundown of a soviet spy ring, and they take interesting cases while they wait, to keep up appearances. I enjoyed the banter between the characters and the lighter feel as they mimicked detective styles of "the classics" from Sherlock Holmes to Christie's own Poirot. These Mysteries are lighter in tone than Christie's other stories as a whole although there were murders and kidnappings here as well. I enjoyed the way they played expectations to their advantage as they both worked out the cases together or in competition with each other. I would rate this book 3.5 stars of Goodreads allowed half stars.

Eh. I would give it a 3.5. Seemed like short stories more than a novel, nothing compared to A SECRET ADVERSARY.

Christie racism watch: None! All characters were white. Some sinister Eastern European characters, but none presented with pathologized racial characteristics.
