These are one of those books I don't take very seriously. But it was a fun popcorn thriller. Kept me entertained and went through it fast and easy like the majority of these authors books. It did keep me guessing a little bit but for the most part- it was pretty predictable and the characters were super unlikable

Entertaining, but also pretty predictable. No real surprises in this book.
Loved this one! I do feel like I maybe have read it before a long time ago but that ending wasnât the same.
Lets just say in this book... bitches be crazy!
Kiersten Modglin is a force to be reckoned with! This was the second book that I've read of hers and it did not disappoint!
Wes is a father, a husband, and a faithful employee... Much so that he is loosing his family to it. Addy, Wes's wife has had enough of it and asks him to move out. Wes is in a pinch to find somewhere to live that isn't long-term while he works out getting his family back. Luckily, Wes runs into someone from high school. Elias makes friends with Wes and offers him a spare bedroom to stay while he works things out with Addy. Wes is more than happy to take him up on his offer because it's not like they are total strangers...right?
What I loved:
-The pace was on point for the story
- I thought I had it all figured out, then BAM!
What I didn't love:
- Felt very soap-opera(ish) to me
Like always, Kiersten writes in such an easy to follow way that is also very descriptive and I was absolutely drawn in. It's obvious from the get-go that something isn't right with Elias and it's just a matter of what. I really enjoyed the ending of this book that it is a highlight for me! The book really kept me on my toes and although the plot may not have that original, the execution and ending definitely stood it apart from the rest!
