Excellent end to the series! 4.5⭐️ and a solid overall 4 for the series. Will most likely reread at some point.

Great series ended with a whimper. What happened to the story line with Death? With The Mender? The ending felt completely rushed. Disappointed.

WHHYYYYY is this the last in the series? There are too many unanswered questions! I love the world that Kalayna Price has made. Her ability to slowly unravel intrigue is wonderful and refreshing in a genre where authors have a tendency to Tell instead of Show their story. I enjoyed how her books are steeped in magic, but magic is not what motivates the characters. I kinda wish some aspects turned out different, but i have genuinely enjoyed this series.

This was, quite frankly, a boring disappointment. The first 100 pages moved so slowly, and the rest didn’t fare any better.

I received an ARC via NetGalley in return for a review of this book. I've been reading this series since its inception, sometimes waiting impatiently for years for the next novel. While I'm sorry to see it end, I am happy to report that it was a slightly surprising and entirely satisfying wrap up. If you haven't yet met Alex Craft, start at the beginning with Grave Witch and settle in for a great ride.

I mean, it was OK? I adored the first few books, but became increasingly less interested as the series went on and it became all about faerie and Death disappeared and she was no longer a Grave Witch or doing anything with the police.

I finished the book and was entertained. I'm very impatient and don't bother finishing books I don't enjoy, so that says something? It was a satisfying ending, I guess, but the elements that interested me in the first few books were basically almost completely gone.

So, a solid 3 stars from me. I was entertained. I finished it. However, I was disappointed.

As far as endings go, this was too quick and too uncomplicated. This series was really great and unique, this book deserved just a little more.... umph.
