It was entertaining… there were a few twists, but slightly predictable. Use of memory loss/flashbacks.

[1st read from 18/6/2022 to 19/6/2022] — 3.25⭐️

— okay so i got this paperback at a warehouse sale a couple of months ago for free and that alone rubbed me the wrong way… i was kind of expecting this to be a disaster and it wasn’t!
an okayish thriller book that could even be rendered as good if it wasn’t for the excruciatingly slow pace in the first 200 pages… other than that the twists were so nice!

I didn't love this, pretty much thought it was okay. The characters weren't my favorite, but they weren't supposed to be particularly likable I don't think, so that makes sense, I did think they were interesting to follow, though. I don't tend to love flashbacks in mystery/thriller books, but the ones in this were mostly interesting. The whole amnesia trope is a bit overdone for me at this point, so I didn't love that element, however, I see why that trope is used and it did work for the story. I liked the ending of this, I didn't predict it! Overall, an okay read, and I will check out more Riley Sager in the future, especially since this was a debut.

Solid thriller. Thought I had this one pegged but was completely wrong.

I had heard a lot about Riley Sager since joining BookTok, so figured I'd try one of his books out. It was a decent book. It dragged a little in the middle and the story seemed a little incomplete, especially in regard to Sam's motivations and the development of her relationship with all the other characters (except for Quincy) felt incomplete. But overall, this was an enjoyable read

Agora estou doida pra ler "Home Before Dark", "Lock every door" e "Sobreviva à noite".

Helt chokad!
