I didn't know what this was about, it had been sitting on my TBR for years and forgot about it. randomly selected it when I was looking at a different book so this was quite a surprise. Action packed based in Greek mythology set in present day. strong yet flawed female lead character. Good fit for fans of Greek mythology and fantasy, readers who enjoy stories about found family, self-discovery, and the complexity of loyalty and power.

It started strongly, and I read the first half in one sitting.  But I found the second half less engaging, it became very complicated and I found the ability of various characters to survive death through being gods to be a frustrating plot point.  A fun introduction to greek mythology though.

I will admit I had to pick this book up a couple of times to actually get started with it. Once you get to grips with the history of the characters and the world the characters are experiencing it is really thrilling. I was absolutely hooked. Would definitely recommend if you have the patience for a slow burner to start but when the action hits… it hits
