Picked this up for my Kindle on a whim, and very glad I did. A good reminder that not every story needs to be of monumentally grave importance.

Good quick read, has some interesting history and I like the story line. At times it was a but choppy, but not enough to keep me from reading! Looking forward to the next obe

Still not sure how I feel about this one. It definitely wasn't quite what I was expecting. I may be pick up the next in the series to see where the story goes.

Eh, this was okay. I didn't hate it, but I also didn't love it.

Part of the problem, I think, is that I am not much for "westerns". While this wasn't technically a western, it was "western-esque" and had that tone and feel. I don't connect to that.

I also could not connect to Ophelia at all. She just was not sympathetic to me at all, despite the back-story we're given about her. It just didn't play for me. She came across as very mercenary and uninterested in anyone. She felt flat to me, and since I couldn't relate to her, I also didn't really relate to, or care about the story she was in.

For someone who enjoys the Western, this might be a terrific read. It was a miss for me, and I will not read others in this series. It's not for me.
