Very fun, fast read. The plot was simple but fun, enough emotions to keep you hooked. Finished it in one go.

*3.5 stars!

For the most part, I really enjoyed this book. I loved the sweetness, the spice, and even the family aspect of it.

But then the main conflict hit, and it started to go downhill from there. I felt like that conflict could have been way more than it was, and the ending was very underwhelming for me.

This was my first read from this author, and even though it didn't quite hit the spot for me, I'm still interested in more!

This is the second book in the sweet monster treats series and they can definitely be read as a stand-alone. This book focuses on Adeline and Rexin, Rexins son also plays a key part as a teenage orcling. This book delivers a fantastic story and spice and has an adorable hea.

This was cute! Parts of it felt a little rushed but it was such a short book it’s understandable!

Things I liked:
  • Brear, he added so much to the story and was really adorable.
  • No third act breakup!
Things I didn’t like:
  • I wish there had been more background on Adeline and her situation, especially her relationship with her dad. It gets explained eventually but I kept wondering if I was missing something.
