Terribly formulaic - literally some scenes are copied and pasted from the last ones.
This one did hold a lot of interest for me - especially Charlie and Beth.
I do want to see what happens with the kiddos Adam, Abigail, and Charlie. Charlie seems like such a doll.

The third one is the charm.
I've been spending the last few days reading this collection. This is the first damsel I can claim to like. She seems to not be dickmatized into staying with someone and comes to a clear and clean acknowledgement of what she wants and where she wants to spend her life. I hate it when women are just like the pleasure with you is great and you're possessive so I'll stay instead of figuring out my own mind. It would be so much better if the damsels are able to go away and come back to choose their partner instead of being forced together by lust. I feel like it's a cop out to character development to say it's a dark romance so we can just make them stay. So good job on this one.

So gritty and hot! Jonathan is such a caveman - I think he even surprised himself with how OTT possessive and crazy he was for Beth. And I loved it! Beth was stronger than she thought she ever could be to get through what she did. Great story!
3.8 stars.
I think I liked this one even better than the last.
There was definitely a tinge more ‘darkness’ than the last considering she was kidnapped by traffickers and we got to see exactly how it played out.
But. I also think the romance was a tiny bit better. Not as combative as Amy and Andrew, because Charlie was there.
I Really loved it when Johnathan started ‘cursing’ the other men. Super amusing. Especially their reactions to it.
I really enjoyed reading this one. And honestly, I’m kind of excited to see Simon get humanized a little bit in the next one.
Here’s one thing I don’t understand....photoshop is a thing and has been a thing for quite a while. Yet they left the girl on the cover a blonde? Instead of just color correcting that shit to red like it’s supposed to be?....for some reason, that really bothers me.

Did I really read what everyone else did? Dnf around 79% percent and I'm not sure how I made it that far.
Jonathan + Beth... I was wayyy more interested in Simon in this book
“You and James need to go rob a vault or something. Not natural how well you do that.”
“Yeah, your mom said the same thing.”
“She’s dead, ya dumb fuck.”
“I broke her hip, what do ya expect?”_Andrew and Jonathan.
This banter honestly had me dying
I fully thought Adam was going to hurt Charlie, and I was fully prepared to forgive him if he did. Is that wrong? Young love and all...
I’m highly glad there was nothing in here further about James and Sophia . I felt nothing but bleh for her, but James was another story.

Beth went to a dive bar with her friends, where she ends up meeting Jonathan. When the night comes to an end, she ends up getting kidnapped by the Russians and sold in their human/sex trafficking ring.
When Jonathan, who became obsessed with Beth from the first moment he saw her, realized Beth was kidnapped in his own parking lot, he goes crazy! And will do anything to get her back.
The thing is, can he get her back? Or did he lost her forever in the same day he meet her?

missed opportunities
Overall I enjoy the storyline
The writing could be better since these men should be intense yet they writing almost gives of a juvenile feel
There was a huge missed opportunity for Beth to really develop as a character and take the reins in her relationship she eventually got there but it could’ve happened much sooner she’s submitted to her dad for her entire life and could’ve steered away from the submissive nature

The Dark Side of Romance
I absolutely love this darker romance series! It has everything you want and not as dark but just the right amount of darkness. Jonathan was like the rest of the alpha males in this series who gets entranced by the heroine Beth straight away. I love how both Jonathan and Beth want to protect and care for Charlie and shows a softer side of Jonathan that you saw when he was dealing with Abigail in the previous book. Super excited to continue this series!
